Saturday in Culver City

Just a short distance away and great for pedestrian traffic, Culver City is one of our favorite weekend get-out-of-the house excursions.  Some days we like to catch a $5 flick,  at the Culver Plaza Theater, where they show blockbuster hits along with indie films.  Other days we just cruise downtown, stopping along the way to enjoy the zoetropes placed randomly around town, or to enjoy murals, tucked away in unexplored corners.  Our trip does not seem complete without a visit to our favorite Argentinian bakery, Grand Casino, where they make a mean empanada.  Warm and savory, the whole family enjoys them.  The toughest part is which filling to get: beef, chicken, or spinach?
