Farmer’s Market Cooking Class #1: Zucchini, Broccoli, Greens and Rhubarb

Saturday was our first ever Farmer’s Market Cooking Class in Walla Walla.  Right across the street from the market sits Someone’s in the Kitchen, once a restaurant, now a private space for parties and cooking classes.

We were a small but focused group, chatting and having fun while preparing our recipes that highlight produce now in season.  All the produce came from one of our local farmers, Ron of R&R Produce, in Walla Walla.

On the menu:

Zucchini Ricotta Cakes

Shaved Zucchini with Basil and Almonds

Raw Greens Chop Salad

Broccoli Salad with Bacon and Roasted Red Peppers

Rhubarb and Spinach Salad with Red Onions and Candied Pecans

Our next class will be on August 13th, featuring cucumbers, green beans, fresh herbs, and raspberries.  Come join us to learn some new recipes and have fun preparing them with us.
