A Thanksgiving Turkey Cake

Just in time for your holiday planning! A Thanksgiving Turkey Cake!

I received an email from Chow.com this morning and had a great laugh at the idea. Looking through the pictures, I realized it’s a real thing and would actually probably be pretty delicious! I think I’ll be making this for my family this weekend! I’ll let you know how it goes.
For now, here’s a link to the Chow recipe and a few details. Fun stuff, if you’re not too grossed out with having all the turkey day food in one combo dish.

“Whether this Thanksgiving centerpiece incites horror, amazement, or confusion when it’s served, it’s certain to evoke some kind of outburst. Warning: This dish is not recommended for people who require an inch of space between food groups.

If your attention lapses and the marshmallows happen to burn or catch fire while broiling (this actually happened to us), relax and just blow out the flames. Peel away the burnt marshmallows, leaving the sweet potato layer intact, and start over with a fresh topping of marshmallows.”
